About

WINCA Lab is a design-led initiative transforming industrial waste into high-value art, design objects, and material innovation.

Founded in Nigeria, WINCA Lab emerged from a simple but urgent reality: large volumes of foam, leather, fabric offcuts, and production remnants are discarded daily, contributing to environmental degradation despite their untapped potential.

Rather than viewing these materials as waste, WINCA Lab repositions them as resources within a circular system—aligning with global goals for responsible consumption, sustainable cities, and climate action.

Our work sits at the intersection of sustainability, craftsmanship, technology, culture, and inclusion. Through artistic experimentation and fabrication, we create pieces that challenge assumptions about waste—while also building inclusive systems that encourage women’s participation in making, design, and innovation.

WINCA Lab is more than an art practice. It is a platform for redefining value, advancing circular systems, and demonstrating that African creativity can drive globally relevant environmental and economic solutions.

Our Vision

To position Africa as a global leader in circular design innovation—where materials are continuously reimagined, waste is minimized, and inclusive participation (especially women) drives new creative economies.

Our Mission

To transform industrial offcuts and underused materials into meaningful works of art, design objects, and material innovations that contribute to environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and economic value creation.
